Company Overview: Art With Jenny is a dynamic, innovative, creative, and brand-new art studio located in downtown Los Altos, CA.  We are committed to bringing art and music classes, parties, events, and workshops to our local community.  As a Photography/Video Editor Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our creative business and gain hands-on experience in photography and video editing in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Job Description: As a Photography/Video Editor Intern, you will work closely with our owner to assist in capturing, editing, and producing high-quality visual content for various projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to use & practice your photography skills and video production techniques, editing software, and creative storytelling.  This job is great for a high-school or college student passionate about photography & videography and looking to gain practical experience in a real business creative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Photography and Videography: Capture high-quality photographs and videos for various projects, including classes, events, workshops, and promotional content.
  2. Editing: Edit and enhance raw photos and video footage using professional editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro) to achieve desired aesthetic and storytelling objectives.
  3. Post-Production: Organize and manage media files, including sorting, labeling, and archiving, to ensure efficient workflow and easy access to assets for future projects.
  4. Organize: Organize current photographs in a format that will be easy to access in the future
  5. Creative Collaboration: Collaborate to develop and execute visual concepts and ideas that align with project goals and brand identity.
  6. Quality Control: Review and proofread edited photos and videos to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project specifications and brand guidelines.
  7. Project Coordination: Coordinate photo and video shoots, including scheduling and equipment setup to ensure smooth execution of projects.
  8. Content Promotion: Contribute to the promotion of visual content across various platforms, including social media, websites, and marketing materials, to maximize engagement and reach.  Work with our owner and the Marketing & Social Media intern to capture needed photos and videos.
  9. Learning and Development: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in photography and videography through self-directed learning and participation in workshops or training sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Strong passion for photography, videography, and visual storytelling, with a creative eye for composition, lighting, and aesthetics.
  • Proficiency in photography and video editing software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro), Final Cut Pro, or equivalent.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers.
  • Previous experience with photography, videography, or editing software is desirable but not required.
  • Flexibility in your schedule so you can attend classes, events, and workshops.
  • Reliable, responsible, works well with others, positive attitude, self-starter & proactive.

Other Details:

  • Part-Time: Flexible & part-time schedule, starting as soon as possible.
  • Pay: This is an unpaid position, but can turn into a paid position for the right person. Possible paid bonuses based on work & content.
  • Location: In person in our Los Altos, CA studio.
