FAQ

Are you flexible with ages?   Absolutely!  Every child develops uniquely.  If you have questions about whether a specific class, camp or workshop will meet your child’s needs, please contact us.

Do you offer sibling discounts? Sibling discounts are back! 10% off any two or more offerings.

Where is your studio? We are located at 319 State Street, downtown Los Altos.  The studio can be a bit challenging to find the first time you come.  If you find the restaurant Fiesta Vallarta on State Street and walk behind the restaurant, you will see an outdoor courtyard.  Our studio borders the courtyard on the right, #319.

Where do I park?  Street parking is available on State Street, or you can park in the lot behind our building (and behind Peet’s coffee).

What is your make- up policy for classes?   We don’t have a make-up policy if your child needs to miss one of their class sessions, sorry!

How many caretakers can attend class? For drop off classes – none! Exceptions are made for extremely shy or anxious kids with the goal of having the caretaker step out as soon as the child is ready.

For caretaker and child classes, we ask just one caretaker, and please notify us if another caretaker would like to join in.

How many students are in a class?  It depends on the offering. Usually anywhere from 8-14.

How many children can attend my party? Our party packages start at 14 kids (including the birthday child and siblings). We charge $15 each additional child and we suggest no more than 20 total attendees- this number is based on successful party experiences!

What should my child wear?  At Art With Jenny we embrace our colorful mess and encourage children to immerse themselves in non toxic paints and other materials.  We cannot guarantee that all materials will wash out, so please dress your child in clothes that they may be growing out of or a “uniform” that they can wear each time they come.

What kind of materials do you use?   All materials are chosen to be developmentally appropriate. For children under 6, all materials are non- toxic and chosen to safely engage their senses.  For elementary children, we sometimes use grown- up materials like Sharpie markers and hot glue guns to improve the quality of the work.  These materials give us an opportunity to discuss safety, and develop respect and responsibility for materials.

When is summer camp registration available? We post our summer camps in early January. They usually fill up quickly, so be sure to stay in the loop for registration dates via the mailing list and Instagram!

What are your health protocols? We ask all attendees to sanitize hands and remove shoes in our entryway upon arrival. We also ask all attendees to wear socks.  (If you forget, we have socks available to borrow or purchase!)
