We are committed to bringing art and music classes, parties, events, and workshops to our local community. As an Art Studio Intern, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a dynamic artistic environment and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of studio operations.
Job Description: As an Art Studio Intern, you will work closely with our founder and instructors to support the daily operations of the studio and assist in creating an engaging and inspiring environment for our students and visitors. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn about studio management, art instruction, event coordination, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Studio Assistance: Assist with the setup and cleanup of studio spaces before and after classes, workshops, and events, ensuring that all materials and equipment are organized and accessible.
- Art Instruction Support: Assist art instructors during classes and workshops, including setting up materials, assisting students, demonstrating techniques as needed, and cleaning up.
- Customer Service: Greet and assist studio visitors, answer inquiries about classes and events, and provide information about studio offerings in a friendly and professional manner.
- Artistic Projects: Participate in artistic projects and collaborations within the studio, including prepping materials for classes and events as needed.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining inventory of art supplies, materials, and equipment, and communicate inventory needs to the studio manager as necessary.
- Creative Input: Share ideas and suggestions for improving studio operations, enhancing the student experience, and fostering a collaborative and supportive artistic community.
- Organization: Maintain studio materials and help make sure they are always accessible and organized.
Qualifications:
- Must be in high school or older
- Looking for proactive self-starters! Someone who notices things that need to be done and does them even before being asked.
- Reliable, responsible, and cares about their commitments & being on time
- Warm, friendly, outgoing, fun & creative
- Thorough & has great attention to detail, caring about the quality of their work.
- Passion for art and creativity, with a desire to learn and explore.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with a diverse range of individuals.
- Has a positive, “can-do” attitude. No task is too minimal for you.
- Previous experience in art or arts-related activities, such as art classes, workshops, or volunteer work, is desirable but not required.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on studio events and activities.

- Part-Time: Flexible & part-time schedule, starting as soon as possible.
- Pay: This is an unpaid Intern position, but it can turn into a paid position for the right person.
- Location: In person in our Los Altos, CA studio.
